The beginning: 1999
Created by aestheticians for aestheticians, Cosmedix is one of the first chirally-correct skincare brands ideal for all skin tones and conditions. While this may not sound like much now, back in 1999, it was thought that natural and organic products weren’t as effective as other formulations. Cosmedix changed this dynamic and made the industry realize that superior formulations standards and natural beauty can go hand-in-hand.
2001 - 2003
Industry leaders Astral Health & Beauty acquires Cosmedix into its brand portfolio. Other brands include PÜR, butter LONDON, and Aloette. Together, they work to redefine beauty.
2003
Cosmedix takes clean skincare to the next level. The revolutionary AGP Complex permits high doses of Retinol to the deeper levels of the skin without causing inflammation. How? It converts to trans-retinoic acid as soon as it’s absorbed into the skin. Retinol - a key ingredient for a variety of skin types, including ageing skin - becomes a go-to for more skin types.

2013
Never a company to stop innovating, Cosmedix created LG-Retinex, a proprietary formula that blends retinol with retinal within a lip encapsulation. The formula neutralises the retinol to reduce irritation without sacrificing effectiveness.

2016
Cosmedix is used by the finest skin care professionals. As such, it created National Aesthetician Day™ on October 15 to celebrate the wonderful professionals it works with. All month long, the company celebrates these leaders who work hard to help others achieve a more radiant complexion and their skincare goals.
